Whats funny about the whole thing was, on the way back from the Glendora canyon run, a few us bumped into Apk919 on the way back while he was heading back to San Diego.

Ya'll should have came anyways then.

That's right... but I needed the caffeine to get me home; my brain was heat soaked by the triple digit LA basin temps!

For those of you that didn't make it, you guys missed out. Look how beautiful Glendora Mountains is. It looks like China!

I took this photo the day before while I went to scope out the roads to make sure there weren't any severe debris or construction going on.

ok, you are now deemed "Aero Andy" due to your excellent research and application of ducting to cool your car. BTW what were intercooler and water temps for you today (not sitting in traffic, on the road)

Hmm... I don't know; Brent is already "AeroMan"...

Water temps on the freeway were fine (around 195F), but I wasn't logging IAT... I assume that since I was just cruising with traffic that they were just above ambient (probably around 100F)

Wink Thank you...Thank you!

I'd like to thank all of you who came out. Honestly, I may have coordinated the gathering but without you guys, it wouldn't have mattered so thank you to all who made it out.

Tell me more about the police. Were they giving you guys a hard time?

If they wanted, they could have gave everyone a ticket for no front plate.

Sounds like that wasn't the case though.

Yeah. I was rolling in my VW which replaced my RX-8. I kind of wish I did not sell the 8 even if I did make the logically correct decision. I hate logic. It gets in the way.

Great pictures and I am glad I made it. I suppose it is not a real Lotus meet if everyone's car is actually running.

Heh, RX-7 meets were way worse in that regard. Loved the FD, but dependable they were not.

Thanks Andy for your hard work! It was nice to meet everyone that made it. Food and company was great. You'll never leave BJ's hungry! I always like to see the different people that own these cars! The white collection was pretty cool, but we were melting at that point. The GMR drive was great! No cars to hinder us and motorcycles chasing. Glad I was able to attend this one.

Hey all.

I had a good time. Thanks Trendy Exige for organizing and scheduling the soccer game on the plasmas while we ate.

The Pizookies were off the hook. I used to eat those all the time and now I am not allowed to, so if my doctor asks, you saw nothing.

Sorry for the hassle on getting into that gated community in Azusa. At least I arranged the police escort. She was hot. I bet she was sweating under the uniform...

HEAT. Holy Crap. By the times you guys left for the run, I was actually cooked. Jacob and I went and got some liquids. Then we headed over to the concert in Playa de Vista, where it actually got too cold. But it was a welcome change.

The car guy had half his collection in a warehouse, apologies for there not being more. I will take you to Leno's to make up for that. Burbank is a little cooler.

It was good seeing everyone. Next time I hope I can make the run too. But I had to do business. We were leaving to meet up with Frankie Munoz (Malcolm in the Middle dude) but now it looks like I am heading back up to Marina Del Rey to meet Frankie.

I really enjoyed looking at all the pics! Wish I could have joined everyone, even though I heard it was ridiculously hot - yikes!

I'll post some pics later on!!!

BTW, the Marina was downright CHILLY when I got home...brr.
