has anyone been to MB2 in Thousand Oaks yet? This looks like a lot of fun. Saturdays are usually Super Solo Saturdays for me, but I am itching to go karting next Saturday 10/4/08. Anyone interested?

I went out there last Sunday ... had to wait an hour and a half to run. It was pretty fun though! They are like fast bumper cars

I wouldn't mind checking it out too - been meaning to do that, just too busy. All I have now is my former jet ski race helmet (motocross style) - wonder if that works?

Steve, they have loaner helmets and supply head socks.

i went for the first time last sunday...caused a ruckus (what do you mean i am supposed to use the brakes?! and no ramming into my friends? what kind of fun is that anyway?) but it was lots of fun and no people, animals, or karts were harmed. i'm going on saturday with the steve thomas bmw service department crew, would like to work on my lap time this go around. last time i was a whole 2 seconds behind the lap leader, it was pretty embarrassing.

i'm now officially a member now, which means a) they know where i live so i have to behave, and b) i will be showing my face there from time to time.

so, who's on for karting on saturday or possibly wednesday evening (i'm doing both)

I am going to check out the kart track tonight around 8:00 pm (closes at 10:00 pm). My oldest daughter is flying in from SF for some convention thing in Anahiem and she asked me to go carting! Raised her right! I haven't been in a kart for a couple of years - should be interesting.

OK, I went tonight and that place is fun! First time karting in years, and that was cool. I learned that you need to be in a race with others that run about the same times or you will be held up big time. Can't wait to go again.
