Why don't you join us in the LCS? Lotus Challenge Series

Great group of people racing time trials and w2w.

If you look on the website you will see the rules on signing up and safety requirements (fire extinguisher, SA 2005 helmet, etc....).

Yessss, I've seen the thread. I'm thinking of joining you guys next year. I want a couple trackdays under my belt so I don't look like a total idiot in front of all of you Lotus track whores!

Oh wait, are the rules on the LCS website the rules for these trackdays in this thread? If so, then I'll get to reading!

We will not be running with them. The schedule did not work out.

Still working on pinning down the final cost. Much depends upon sponsors stepping up in a tough economy.

There are special rates at the Red Rock. Thanks to the economy it is a huge savings over their normal published rates. We can thank Cory and the SNLCC guys for doing some great negotiating!

In the meantime you can check out the WCLM website at West Coast Lotus Meet is November 6-7, 2009 in Las Vegas. The "Gallery" is... rather provocatively "Vegas"...

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

Any chance to organize a golf outting??? I'm not so sure I want to track my car on Sunday, not sure if there are others...I know it is a tight fit for 5 hours of golfing, but wouldn't mind an option for golf.

Not sure where I'd put a full set of Clubs in my esprit, but if I knew there was golf, I'd find a way to make it happen!

I can almost get a full set in the trunk, my woods and drivers don't fit in the trunk, passenger seat. Looks funny...

Wahhht...Jacob, don't you get comps for free rooms @ Venetian/Bellagio/Wynn/Hard Rock/Red Rock? I thought you were a major playah?

Just go to your fav hotel's casino and sign up for a player's card. Spend a few hundred bucks at the slots and....BAM! They'll be sending you mailings for free rooms.

I have a yearly Expo I attend in Vegas every Oct and my stays get comp-ed, as long as my player's card shows some activity in the casino during my stay. Also, there is a way to trick the system into thinking that you're losing more than you're winning.

The guys in Vegas assure me that they are getting close to announcing costs. Hang in there!

I'll let them know that you all want a photo op event!

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

This sounds like fun! No way am I driving the Lotus over the Rockies in November, but it would be nice to meet some of you "knuckleheads".

Any prices on rooms yet?

Registration is open at West Coast Lotus Meet is November 6-7, 2009 in Las Vegas.

I don't recall the exact room rate, but it's around $150.

Cheers,
Kiyoshi

Take the southern route, you'll be fine! I live in the Rockies and don't expect any problems driving my Lotus to Vegas for this. I'll just head south on I-25 into New Mexico if the forecast is looking iffy.

I could be into an ice storm on A048s in Illinois in November, but's still good to know.

There's a chance of something like that in these parts that time of year as well; it's common to have snow on Halloween, for example. Still, good chance you can avoid driving in sub-zero temps if you stay out of the Rockies.
