These 2 shops are the easiest to get to and the only ones in Tokyo I've found that really have any aftermarket parts. The other lotus dealers are a bit far from train stations and not really worth going to unless your plan on purchasing a car.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To get to BSK go to Nishi-magome station (the circled subway station on the map) and get off, then grab a taxi and have him bring you to the following address... It's about 1km from the train station and the Taxi should only cost you about 700-1000 yen. If you go tell them that Chris from Okinawa sent you. 住所 : 〒146-0082 東京都大田区池上3-1-8 第二京浜ビル1階 代表 : 小林 輝彦 電話 : 03(3754)8611 ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To get to Denag go to Ochiai-minami-nagasaki station (the circled train station on the map) and get off. We will set up a meeting for 10pm on Saturday night and be out till dawn when the trains start running.
Please list the number of people coming with you + yourself as well. Also the area of Tokyo where you will be staying or the nearest train station to you hotel. For the 10PM metting you will need to take the train to Shinjuku station (it's huge, but lots of sexy women ) Once you get off the train follow everyone else getting off and you will go down in to a long corridor. You will see the track numbers all the way down the corridor next to each of the entrances to the tracks. You will want to go in the direction where they are counting down. Follow signs to the EAST exit also be looking for signs directing you to Kubukicho. When you exit the station you should be coming out of this exit. (see pic below) I'll be waiting there near the exit. Tall lanky white guy with long hair and glasses. I'll also wear my German military field jacket to stand out a bit more. (lol like a 6' 2" white guy in Japan doesn't stand out) If you get lost just act lost and somebody will usually come up to help you (as they want to practice their english ) or you can ask people working in the train station where Kabukicho is. (In Japanese: Kabukicho wa doko deska?)Shinjuku Kabukicho exit: View Larger Map We will be heading to a couple of small hole in the wall heavy metal / rock bars. Plan on about 700-1000 yen a drink. Both bars have a good 1,000 Cd's on the wall and books where you can pick songs. All songs are by request of the customers so have some tunes in mind. Some time during the night we'll take a break and head over to a near by Izakaia where they have to best chicken wings EVER! The trains stop running around midnight and don't start until around 5-5:30 am or so. Plan on being out all night unless you want to take a Taxi back to your hotel. Any one going that doesn't have my cell number and iPhone e-mail addy already please PM me. I also speak Japanese very well so anyone who is going even if you can't meet up can PM me as well. That way if you get in to any language barrier issues you'll have a translator on tap. Will add more info later

Wow - that sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could make it. Having someone who knows where to go in Shinjuku would be fantastic.

The Izakaia with yummy chicken wings (BEST EVER) will be a really good place to chill out and chat. We should all have a good buzz going on then so it'll make for some good conversation. ![]() Quote:

As you know Dragon, we were planning on having someone attend this year, but I was going to be in UK at AutoSport. Based on the economy, we cancelled both shows. But we have a deposit for AutoSalon 2010. See you next year.

I just called Kobiyashi-son from BSK. He will be expecting you guys on Friday and said to let everyone know he will be at or near the shop Friday-Sunday if anyone wants to stop by. He will be closed on Monday as it's a Japanese holiday.

I'm not a camera / picture buff, but some other friends of mime that are going are. I'll get pic's from them some time next week and start 2 threads unless these guys can get it done faster. We can do a "Cars of TAS 2009" and a "Girls of TAS 2009" threads.

I can't confirm yet as the ladies might not be able to deal with a night of booze and heavy metal music!

...I also contacted a DJ friend of mine that told me she just started working at a bar called "Black" in Shinjuku. I'm going to check it out on Friday night and see what it's like there. If it looks like a good location that is near by the other places we may be able to hang out there as well. It's always good to mix it up a little bit as opposed to just hanging at one place all night. This is my friend DJ Maya (she speaks English btw) and she's also a SuicideGirl and a Japanese Rope bondage master for those that know what that is. She put's on some very interesting events in the Tokyo area. ![]() ![]()
