circle track
There is a 3/8 mile circle track where I live and they had an open day where you could try your street car on it.
I did about 6, 10 lap sessions (19.2 second laps) On my 5th time out as I was starting to get faster, the car would shut off near turn 2 and 4 just for a second, it did this on lap 5,6 and 7 then I pulled in, it did it again the next time out. I was only at about 5000 RPM Oil is full Gas was down one bar I have been to a couple track days, auto-x and 1/4 mile tracks never had this problem before. Turns 1 - 2 and 3-4 are basically one long banked turn. The car is not geared very well for this type of track not enough time to shift 2nd gear is to low and 3rd to high, I was running in 3rd. Has anyone run in to this on long banked turns before, or any ideas on what it might be. |
