I guess it's time to appeal to the BOD for the non-SC Elises and Exiges. They were proposing to move these to another class anyway. They should at least move them to ASP (including the 08+ Vipers and 996 Turbos), if not create a new class. Wonder what happened?

That was a mistake. Apparently the BOD approved the items that were out for member comment and shouldn't have. Clarification is coming....

IMO... if this passes, the car to have in SS will be either an Elise SC or Exige S. I would be tempted to pick one up just to see if I am right.

I'd be mightily tempted to get an Exige S. But it's a grievous mistake in the fastrack. yikes

Yes there will be a bunch of people who would get one, but I'd venture there would be more that would leave the class...myself included.

Ohhhh Come on!! I've been hearing that since the GT3 got dropped in!! You might be right this time though! I'll bet you could get a pretty good trade on that Vette!

It is amazing how much parity there is in SuperStock right now. The biggest issue is that the Elise is much more course dependent. I would have to think that the additional 20-25lb/ft along with the 50-100lbs of weight would only make the car less course dependent, rather than utterly dominant.

Scott, I'll buy you a beer when your Z is no longer competitive. That'll be in about 5 years.

They no doubt have an advantage, even if the course has only a couple small straightaways, the time spent mashing the throttle in one will get you further than mashing the throttle in the other.

That said, I've been kicking supercharged ass in my NA Elise But I only do local events
