Transporting tires to autox - LotusTalk

Is there any new info on this topic? It seems the only choices are to drive to events with the tires already on the car, or get a trailer and a tow vehicle and tow the car. Someone used to make a roof rack that attached with suction cups, so you could at least carry two tires on the roof, and two more in the passenger seat.

The right way would be a trailer, as you could carry the tires, a jack and some tools, but it sure looks like that is a dead end unless you want to custom engineer something.

Does anyone have a clever solution?
