I totally agree with you. While it wasn't apparent from my post, my interest in the Elise has made me learn more about "simplicate then add lightness", so much that I've actually considered building a Caterham out of a kit
But then the Ariel looks more compelling
Its the lower bar for entry that might end up snagging me as a lifetime Lotus owner. Given how my experience goes, I don't see why I won't pony up to a brand new Lotus in the future, once its value has been demonstrated to me.
