Alternative for Peak global lifetime antifreeze

Well I went to every local auto parts and even Amazon and can't find Peak Global Lifetime antifreeze.

What is a good alternative?

I am doing complete fluid change with new Pro Allay radiator and Raduim coolant overflow unit.

Walgreens is the only B&M store that carries it, surprisingly.

I also had a hard time finding it. However, once found I now see it everywhere. Many convenience stores, car washes and drug stores carry it. Keep looking those places and not at pep boys, autozone, o'reilies etc.

I use Toyota red. Seems like most anyone on a toyota forum with 2zz uses it and its OEM. Couple of pictures of things sitting in Peak coolant worked well enough to scare me away from it no matter what Lotus USA says. (I'm a belt and suspenders kinda guy)

They have it at Walgreens. I didn't believe it either, drove 1 mile from my house, they had 6 gallons sitting on the shelf.

Bump for Walgreens. I never thought to look there, especially after calling Peak, asking for a place to purchase and they didn't even mention it. Peak said I'd have to call an parts store and ask them to order.

You can even check the inventory on specific locations from the Walgreens web site making it dead easy.

took my car in for a coolant flush and brought my own Peak Global Lifetime. The shop recommended using the Toyota red instead, but was willing to put the Peak in if that's what I wanted. They have seen cars using the Peak Global having a black residue in the overflow tank, which then leads one to believe the residue could be in the entire cooling system. I had a patch of black residue in my expansion tank.

I will return the Peak Global and told them to go ahead and use the Toyota coolant. This recommendation is from Tracspec in Fremont, and their shop if filled with Lotus and the owner races his own Exige.

See also this thread: https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f41...ations-298946/ Toyota long life is, I believe, the factory recommendation for Toyota powered Lotus these days. It's well documented to be a good choice. Use deionized or distilled water for dilution if needed.

Ran Peak Global lifetime for 8 years no residue - no problems (changed coolant about 3 times during this period)
