No more reverse after SSC Shift Cable Install
Hoping someone can tell me what stupid thing I have done. I assume this is an oversight on my part.
I had a shift cable snap on me a few weeks ago. I finally got the replacement SSC part in today and threw it in. This is the shift cable, and NOT the cross-gate cable. Well shifting into gears feels amazing now. I can't believe I didn't notice how bad it was on the old cable.
However, when I try to shift into reverse, it's a bit more difficult to get it where reverse should be, but not terrible. In addition, after letting off the clutch, there is a very slight grinding sound, and the car does not go into reverse. It's basically neutral with the light grinding sound. I've tried adjusting the cable rose joint, but admit this is my first time working with shifter mechanism so I am a bit confused.
Has anyone else encountered this? Am I making a rookie mistake here? Any help would be appreciated.
