Just an FYI, that 2005 kit is not the same as the toe link brace that came stock on the later year Eliges (including my '08 Exige S240); that later year OE brace doesn't include the center bracket that attaches the brace to the subframe.

Another point regarding some of the aftermarket toe links, including the Inokinetic and BOE kits: I recommend adding boots or seals to protect the otherwise exposed Heim joints from dirt and grime (see Seals-It rod end boots and seals). With or without boots or seals, the toe links should be inspected regularly to make sure the rod ends still articulate freely. A seized (or sticky) Heim joint (rod end) will greatly increase the stress on the bolts and on the link itself.

You should look at using Nord Locks on the bolts. Since installing these, I have never had one of these bolt come loose.

The SSC Rear toe link brace kit uses a brace tube for double shear and has heim joints both ends of arms. The tapered hub pins are alloy steel.

There is no inner toe link bolt, the threaded spigot is part of the ball joint and they fail at both the inner and outer locations though more usually the inner due to the angle. Even more relevant is that it is not this section that usually fails, it's the threaded section which supports the toe link that fails or the housing pops off of the ball.

Nothing to do with the wishbones whatsoever.

I agree...there is nothing wrong with the wishbones. That was not my intent to imply that there is anything wrong with the wishbones. I'll try to be clearer in the future. Thanks for the clarification.
