June 30th NorCA Meet & Drive/Lotus Cup Race

For anyone intrested in doing a meet and backroad drive, if you can make a full day of it, will also head out to Laguna Seca to catch the Lotus Cup Series race ($10 entry fee).

Meet time will be 9:30 and heading out around 10AM, start point is a Safeway off Sand Hill Rd in
Menlo Park:

325 Sharon Park Dr, Menlo Park, CA ‎

You should have at least Ĺ tank for the backroad drive and ĺ, if your heading to Laguna Seca. A Shell station is in the shopping center. Will pass out maps and hold a drivers meeting about 10 min, before departing. Itíll be a little over 100 miles and 2.5 hours to get to Laguna Seca or an hour and 35 miles for the backroad drive (ending at Highway 17).

Want to get a head count, so let me know if you can make it and what part of the drive(s) you will be doing.

This is great Larry, can't wait to see some of your amazing pics again this year. Everyone please feel free to stop in and say hi. I'd be happy to share info about running the Time Trial if anyone is interested in trying it at Sonoma in September.

Being a group drive on public roads, pace will be moderate, will go over it in more details in the drivers meeting.

Hi everyone,

I would like to do the drive and maybe the 2nd part of the event. I am not a lotus owner but I have been on drives before with the GGLC.

Please let me know if it is possible to join the group with a different car.

Car is a MR2 Spyder.

Nessal- weather wise, looks like itíll be in the 80ís around the southbay, so sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and water will be good to have. Laguna is more likely to be in the 70ís or even 60ís. If your in driving shoes, might want to bring some comfortable walking shoes, we can wonder around the paddock, garage and track to take in the action. Expect to hit the track around 1, they have a Cafe and will double check into other options.

Rasheed- as the original owner of a Ď91 MR2 turbo, you have a pass to join us. Itís been so long since Iíve had the turbo out, am half tempted to bring it along.
