Club Lotus Northwest Fall track day August 29th

I am posting this a little early so you can ALL get it on your calendar, this is also posted in the Events and meets section.

Friday August 29th(the friday before labor day) will be Club Lotus Northwest only track day of the year. Come support your local NW Lotus club at Portland International Raceway in Portland Oregon!

Mark Viskov, our track day coordinator runs an amazing track day with lots of track time, often getting in 5-7 sessions per run group.
We offer Intermediate, Advanced and Race Car(with licensing) run groups. No novice group available and no instructors will be available so you must have prior experience.

We have consistanly been rated as one of the best track days in Portland some come out and have some fun, and if you don't want to drive, I am always open to taking people for rides in my Lotus, just look for the blue tent, Oregon folding chairs and laser blue Elise and ask for Travis.

Motorsportsreg link available soon
If you have any questions you can feel free to PM me but you MUST call Mark Viskov to sign up, our club is behind the times and has no e-mail or automated registration.

Hi Travis. I'm quite looking forward to this. I managed to line up a day at ORP that same weekend, but haven't decided whether to do that one on the 30th or 31st. I'm thinking about The Ridge as well. May as well make the drive worthwhile

Sounds good to me. I will wait a couple months to register, but I'm fairly sure I can make it.

Hey Travis - does Mark V. ever return calls? All I get is his voice mail or answering machine. I leave messages, but haven't heard back from him. Perhaps he thinks he's being pranked - what sort of idiot drives 1300 miles for a track day?

We just had our meeting, track day is officially on, I think pricing is $225 for members and $245 for non members which is HANDS DOWN the best value for the amount of track time. Other clubs are $205 but only get you 4 sessions while we often get 6-7 sessions per day. Please call Mark Viskov at 503-641-7693 to register!

What's the gas situation? I normally bring a 5 gallon can with me, but obviously I won't have room on this trip. I assume if we want to leave to fuel up, it will have to be at lunch time, correct?

I can throw an extra 5 gallon can in the truck if you want, just pay me back what it costs me to fill it. (it will probably be 92 octane as that is the best we can get around here)

I'm in town again so I might come out to visit if I have time.
Someone have a spare helmet for a ride for me in the passenger seat?

If I die, my biggest fear is that my wife sells all my toys for the price I told her I bought them for...

You are welcome to ride with me if you borrow a helmet, but I only have one that is SNELL 2010 approved.

Thanks to all that came out, hope to see you next year and at other track events. I am always willing to give rides at any track day and always bring a second helmet with me just for that purpose.
