Back in '14, I was about to trade in my Elise for a Tesla and managed to back into my wood chipper a week before, DUH! Punched a tear in the back clam and damaged the floor of the trunk. Obviously couldn't trade it in now and spent the following years looking for a competent body shop to fix it. Most won't do fiberglass work and a new rear clam would cost nearly what the car was worth. I nearly gave up when I discovered a shop nearly on my door stoop that does a lot of fiberglass work on Vets and dragsters. Booked my Lotus in on Dec 26th and got it back looking perfect on Jan 5th. Man was I happy as driving a punctured Lotus was an embarrassment!
Total cost was $3281 and change; waaay less than a new clam. If you have body damage I urge you to check Dripp'n Paint & Body Collision Center, Inc. out. They are on Hwy 290 a few miles west of Dripping Springs.
