Likely not. Over the past 6 model years the Elise/Exige have been in the 'states every year has different quoted acceleration times for the same car. What's likely happening is Lotus is using different launch methods and getting different numbers, just like what happens in real life. I wouldn't put much stock in quoted factory acceleration numbers anyway, especially ones as trivial as 0-60. Quarter mile times are slightly more useful.

Back On-Topic: I saw a Carbon Gray Exige 260 at Auto Europe a few weeks ago. It was much better looking in person than I thought it'd be. At first release of the press shots I wasn't thrilled with the changes. Like Vishus_1 said; the square new features seemed to clash with the curved surfaces. In the flesh however it's much more cohesive and it works pretty well. I like the front end for sure, though I can't say I'd want to trade mine for a '10 on looks alone. The rear wing I'm still not a fan of; it does look ricey and complicates the otherwise very sexy rear fender curves and creases. In the interior, the dry-carbon bits are very nice!

Exige 260 cup

Been out Test driving everything with 4 wheels over past 2 months. The only Cars so far that I would class as Entertaining and Fun are Lotus Exige S PP and the 260 cup. Found both these Cars handled and brake extremely well but both lacked raw acceleration. Know 2 out of 3 is pretty good but am reluctant to compromise. Could go back to an Ariel Atom 300 but do I want to be sat in the Cold again.
Are the rumours correct about S3 Exige with a V6. Realise this would add weight but also give a better platform for increasing HP.
Not Knocking the present Car it,s amazing to drive.

This seems to often be the case with sports cars. Online photos just don't do justice. I used to list Black as one of my least favorite colors for the Elise...

I own a 2007 and I would love to have the new 2010 front bumper design but too pricey to do the conversion. Somebody wanna trade ?

The 2010 front look more agressive.

Mine look like a happy face smiling.

I personally like both. I think they're just slightly different flavors for different tastes. I lean toward the 2010, but then again I have my own good personal reason.

I've got a 2009 Cup 260 and the rear stiffness is just a shear panel that bolts to the chassis, under the engine. My car came with it and it’s just a carryover from 2009. You can add that to any Elise/Exige...

The tea-tray rear wing of 2009 and prior models flaps in the breeze (vibrates)…I don’t like anything flapping in the breeze on my car. It causes drag and fatigue cracks. I got HKFever’s CF replica of the 2010 rear wing and it doesn’t flap at all…I haven’t gotten the car on a track since I installed the new rear wing, so I can’t say about performance improvements yet.

Another performance improvement was the 5-spoke wheels…these were the lightest ones ever made for the Elise/Exige…but that P/N is already obsolete! I don’t know if they had failures with the original super light design…but you don’t change P/Ns just for the exercise of changing parts mid stream.

the shear panel of my regular 2011 Exige S is integrated and rivetted to the under engine panel and is bolted the the subframe with bolts through the under engine panel

as a result there are extra bolts to remove to get the engine panel off
