I traded my 2005 for the 2010 Evora, my 5th Lotus. Go to any LOG, and ask. Folks will tell you "This is my nth Lotus".

The comforts of the Evora bring me back to my Esprit V8 days.

HP is a numbers game these days...on the way home today on the freeway, in 6th gear, I encountered a left-lane bandit and had to slow to 60mph at the bottom of a hill. After he pulled over, I didn't even have to downshift to breeze back up to 80+ uphill in top gear.

It is like driving a Lotus, but with this guilty feeling about being so comfortable, in an otherwise "pure" sportscar.

Power to weight is >= than the base Elise I traded in...50% more weight and 50% more power, except said power is usable across the rev range from 2000rpm up.
I actually do not go much over 5000rpm because 7k comes up so quick at that point and the world is going by so frenetically!

Sat in a 2010 Lotus Evora over the weekend @ Ferrari-Lotus dealer Lake Forest Sports Cars. Question; How do you see out? The C pillars complete block the rear 1/3rd of the car making lane changes a leap of faith.

IMHO

^^ Back-up camera may be more dangerous than using side mirrors.

Actually, you learn to set your side mirrors correctly, so that they start where the rearview mirror leaves off. You lose that gorgeous view of the side air intakes, but the problem simply goes away.

If you ever drove Esprit (or Exige?) it is the same view out. (Well, better than Exige, as that is no view at all.)

I have yet to hear from an Evora owner who is not extremely happy with his vehicle...even Squidward, far as I can tell.

Have you driven a Elise? Lane changing to the left is always blind. I cant imagine what its like to drive an Exige on an expressway.
