Having said that, how many of you who had and sold a 2005 or 2006 purchased a 2009 or 2010? I'm guessing not many. Not justifying this, but why would Lotus care about any of us if we're not likely to buy another?
I traded my 2005 for the 2010 Evora, my 5th Lotus. Go to any LOG, and ask. Folks will tell you "This is my nth Lotus".
The comforts of the Evora bring me back to my Esprit V8 days.
HP is a numbers game these days...on the way home today on the freeway, in 6th gear, I encountered a left-lane bandit and had to slow to 60mph at the bottom of a hill. After he pulled over, I didn't even have to downshift to breeze back up to 80+ uphill in top gear.
It is like driving a Lotus, but with this guilty feeling about being so comfortable, in an otherwise "pure" sportscar.
Power to weight is >= than the base Elise I traded in...50% more weight and 50% more power, except said power is usable across the rev range from 2000rpm up.
I actually do not go much over 5000rpm because 7k comes up so quick at that point and the world is going by so frenetically!
