With the new Exige S having almost double the torque of the old Cup 260, I don't have a problem believing the numbers.

+1 Mine hit the wall at around 125-130MPH.

2-3 seconds can easily be cut on the straight only.

No, it's not EVERYTHING, but it is one of the key pillars that defines Lotus. Superior performance through light weight.

The more we get away from this, the more we become like other high-performance 'driver's cars'.

If we are tossing power-to-weight, we might as well buy a Porsche or Corvette. I'm not saying they're bad cars - I'm just saying let's maintain the features that separate us from the pack.

2006 Elise, Aspen White, red interior, LSS, Touring, S111 Katana SC, Reverie CF scoops
2006 Lamborghini Gallardo, Rosso Leto / Ivory - another rare color combo sheesh, I'm drooling over my own car.
2006 red Mustang GT convertible, stock - wife's fun car
2009 Toyota Rav4 - winter car, also for carrying anything larger than a 2-slot toaster

Power to weight of a corvette or of most porsches is better than any of the s2 cars.

Seriously, my car is small
