I don't know of any dealer who runs a credit check to test drive a Lotus Evora so I don't know where this is coming from especially when Lotus wants dealers to test drive these cars

On a side note, I've always wondered how someone resurrects an old thread that hasn't seen a response for over 2 years. Does someone go back in the archives I need to try this and I'm actually shocked I never responded to this thread because I remember reading it at the time

Taking care of the Lotus community one Lotus at a time...yes, We Are Lotus

+1. We certainly aren't short on credit-worthy clients, and that's just in bad taste anyway.

The real answer is that it depends. if a dealer is hurting for money and has to make payroll, rent etc. cash (or check) is available immediately. Getting financed can take days or weeks to get funded and something as little as not having proof of insurance can hold it up. Ask the dealer that you are working with and they will tell you if it makes a difference. Asking us does nothing since we are not the dealer selling you the car. Everybody is different.
