Disconnecting Immobilisiser Lotus europa S

Hi

I live in Sweden and got a Lotus Europa s 2007. I would like to disconnect the
immob. Have bought a blindplug from Elise parts in GB for the Elise and Exige for that purpose. It will shortcut the pins in the outer end of the plug from immob.I tried with a blank key and the engine started and died-probably because of a fuel cutout.

The problem I guess is the fact that there is no cable drawn to fit the blind plugs one side. On the blindplug other side connection is between Red and Purple/White cable. The other side is only connection to Red cable.

If I had to guess i think i must make a shortcut between Black white cable and another one,

Have anyone got any suggestions where to modifye the blind plug?

Sending some photos and a unprofessional drawing (remark the lower drawing is upside down. The larm is Cobra 8186. The Immob is placed under the RH side of dash.

Thankful for any suggestions

Sir Lotus is the resident alarm guru, but we didn't get new-style Europas in the USA so I'm not sure how much knowledge will be able to transfer over.

Thanks - maybe i do so..
I have sometimes trouble to start my car- It starts and then suddenly cuts out..(fuelsupply)
Tried both keys when this occured but no difference..
Its an intermittent fault- comes and goes..
Really like the car (hope you agree...) but need to sort out this problem.

Nice to hear from Australia ..

not at this stage. all i've done is the 225hp lotus upgrade, a milltek muffler and pipercross air filter. soon to be full exhuast system though. sitting at home is nitron suspension and boe toe links.

i've got all the software etc i need to try and crack into the ecu and tune the engine as well, so hopefully i'll get some time to tackle that in the near future. i've got the original 195hp ecu to use for that

Hi Runeb,

just would like to pick up Topic once again did you fix it.

I am one of the Lotus S owners from Germany also not finding a lot of technical info about this specifc car - Opel Speedster Forum of course is a good source for many topics.

On my Europa there is an fuel catch tank installed requiringv 2nd fuel pump.
Don`t know why from time to time when the engine should get started this pump is not
energized. You can hear that...I mean if it runs or not. Could not find the failure cause, just that no current is send to the pump in those moments.

So I did install a small bridging circuit to get pump energized directly.
When I do have to use the bridged circuit the engine starts and runs as usual
and after a while maybe 5 minutes I can re open the Switch of the bridging circuit
and car runs without any issue.
What I have recognized failure/sympthom occurs more often when car was not used for days. Restarting engine after let`s say 9hours the issue never popped up.
