I am currently looking at wireless cameras for my Elise.
Why not just get a backup camera? I bought a simple reverse camera from Amazon with a Wi-Fi relay module. It has power in the trunk and that's it. No other wires to run. The Wi-Fi lets me view footage on my phone.
What brand did you end up getting and are you happy with it? Is your phone able to get the Wi-Fi signal without losing cell service? I thought it was a "one or the other" situation. Thanks to anyone who can provide additional info on Wi-Fi cameras and their experiences with installation and use. BTW, my plan is to mount a 7" Android table for the camera, navigation, GPS speed, and GasBuddy. My tablet has AT&T 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
