Driver Side Headlight / Driver Side Brake Light Issue

Hello all,

I am trying to figure out why my drivers side headlight fuse keeps blowing, I have a 2007 Lotus Exige and every time I put in a new fuse it blows the instant I turn the lights on or when DRL comes on after car starts. The headlight fuse blows plus my driver side rear brake light does not light up and gives me a rapid flash only when signaling left.

So far I have tried swapping left and right brake lights to rule out the light isn't bad
checked the headlight bulbs harnesses
checked for loose / open ground wire
changed out the Switch Pack Module with a new one
unplugged and reconnected all harnesses that connects to the headlights and tail lights
checked behind the headlight switches to make sure nothing is loose or touching

Please advise on what to check next.

Everything else works, blinker, hazard, turn signals, emergency hazards, reverse, high beams.

funny those circuits shouldn't be connected......

I'm betting on a pinched harness, have you had the clam off? I think you can kind of see the harness that goes across the nose through the opening for the front indicator lights

try unplugging all the lighting harnesses, both sides, and see if the fuse blows

almost has to be a pinched harness, all that fuse goes to is directly to the spm, then to the headlight, they don't even ground at the same spot...wait splice ra and splice k are related......hmm....

The clam has been removed to install a aluminum radiator, I purchased this car a few weeks ago and trying to figure this out so a pinched harness could be a potential culprit. I'll see if I can dig around some more this weekend.

Quick update: figured out the brake light problem, turns out the resistor inside the wire for the led tails could burn out, swapped the cables from passenger to driver side and the problem went to the other side.
