If you are referring to the video that I posted, then the standard custer only shows the fuel level and brief error messages & TC status. Be aware that my setup is different from stock - I have a Honda ECU running the dash, which I altered to send additional information to the cluster. Charlie may be able to do the same with the Lotus ECU.

yeah i redid it so i'm running an 08+ ecu in an 07 car.

adding TPMS etc though requires changes to the engine harness.

yeah you can send any message you like, if i was going to go to the trouble of adding it i wouldn't limit it to OBD II, so you'd get choice of the 400+ parameters the ecu supports.

i documented the protocol over here https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f171...y-asked-66970/

So i guess i have to ask this... does the odometer value get stored in the ECU or the cluster? I like the idea of the change, but not if my car will get flagged for a mileage mismatch on carfax/DMV computers.

i believe its a $1,000 just for the new cluster alone so i dunno if i'd call it cheap, then you have to do a little rewiring on the cluster plug.

qais could do it no problem i'm sure, i was intending to chat to him about something else monday so i'll mention it when i do.

but seriously what difference is there, other than the 3 stage shift light, there is little/no physical difference to the appearance of the black dial other than the colour. so why not ?

I just got my black cluster today.

The other difference thats kinda nice for a lot of people is that the MY08+ cars have CAN OBD II instead of K Line, a few more parameters on it, plus its newer firmware.

The MY08+ cluster is also more easily reprogrammable by Lotus and has updates just like the ecu.

Talking

Charlie, are you going to be making a retrofit kit so people like us can do the same conversion or is Rob?

I have your Gotham tune already so I should just come to you with it and do it from your approach.
