Start button LED lights

Hey all,

This is kind of a feeler, but would anyone be interested in different color start button lights? This isn't a "hack and splice" deal, but the actual OEM replacement bulb, and they can be amber, blue, green, red, or white. Price would probably be around 15-20 bucks which includes shipping. Let me know what you guys think.

I'd go for a blue one at $15 shipped.

+1 | White or Blue for me.

I'll like a picture of how the "product" looks like in operation. Good price.

I would just like to have a start button that stayed lit! Mine flickers sometimes and doesn't come on at all most of the time. Any ideas?

I have a red one in my car, and using my crappy cell phone I took 2 pics. The color came out very faded and dull on camera, but in real life it's very deep red. Goes well with the ardent red of my car.

Ok after searching several electronics distributors, here's the prices I could find before shipping costs (which probably wont be much, they are so tiny):

Red - 12.00
Green - 12.00
Amber - 12.00
Blue - 24.00
White - 24.00

Sorry to all the people who were interested in Blue/White, I didn't realize they jack the price on those colors.

If anyone is still interested in this, let me know, and I can order a few and send 'em along.

James

Unfortunately, I haven't used any other lights in my car, so I have no pics.

Do you know if it will work to fix the flickering that so many of us have now? If I could get a red one for $12 and it fixes the flicker, I'll take one, too.

I like blue, but red would better suit the "engine start" button

Color is important, but it needs to be dimmer! It's too bright as it is. What are you actually offering other than a new bulb?

I have no idea if it will fix the flicker, my start button never did that. If you wanna be a guinea pig and try one out, PM me, I'll order you one, and if it doesn't work, send it back to me and I'll refund you.

Sorry, I'm not offering anything but new lights. My start light went out, and I didn't feel like paying 45 bucks for a whole switch assembly just to get the light, so I did some research, wrote some emails, and found the lights. And since the distributors have a minimum price order ($35), I'm offering to coordinate a group buy for everyone interested (Trying to give back to the forum for all the useful info I've gotten here).

_________

For all those interested, please send me a PM with the color you prefer, and my paypal is [email protected]. Send a few bucks extra for shipping please (or donations to me ).

You guys are gonna be the first to try out the different colors other then red. For me, the red was a direct fit and I see no reason why the other bulbs would be any different. For some weird reason, if they don't work, I'll refund you and send the bulbs back. Also, the blue and white LEDs have a lead time of several weeks, so if you want one of those colors, I'll order them and keep you informed of their status.

James

Sorry, your attachment is not coming up. So I have no idea what it looks like.

No problem with the price for blue/white. But I'll like a final product picture.

OK everyone, I'm hoping to place an order for these LEDs tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday afternoon at the latest. Here's what I have so far for committed buyers:

JohnZ - Red
joeyrotorhead - Red
Legends702 - Blue
Stale Hotdog - Red
Ender - Red

If anyone else wants to commit for one, send me a PM and a color. I'll let everyone know once I order them.

Thanks,
James
