Anyone else with an 08 order one yet? I'm still having trouble trying to remove the outer ring.

Hmmm this is what I got: Linrose super brite LED (part number B4303F7 25 pack of yellow) Linrose Electronics Inc. I think they are a 2V LED. I'm not a great electrician myself, but they haven't blown out yet. Just remember that LEDs are polarized, so they won't light if they are soldered in backwards. I'm sure someone else on this forum could tell you more about currents and proper resistance values, I just took the advice of the guy working at the local mom and pop electronics store.

Just to keep everyone updated, I will probably submit another order sometime in early January, things are very busy for me right now, but I have not forgotten about you all!

Just received mine today, had it installed as well. Firstly I wanna say, James is a top seller! He shipped mine out even before I paid. Being an overseas order, it meant extra work for him to get it out to me.

Just some notes I wanna add to other buyers who have yet to install their new LED.

- Follow all the instructions listed by James, as long as you follow it step by step. You should have no problems getting your new LED installed.

- Use light strength to remove and install everything, for me nothing fell out or neither did I encounter any issues from star to end. I used 3 tools for this job, a Philips screwdriver to remove the light panel assembly, a minus screwdriver to push the start button out of the wiring plug and a pair of pliers to remove the OEM yellow bulb.

- With the metal collar ring attached to the start button, I found it easiest to hold onto the ring with one hand and push downwards with the other. It popped out nicely. There was no glue on mine and when reinstalled correctly, it clicks into place.

Overall installation is considerably easy, 2 out of 10 for difficulty and it took me less than 15 minutes to complete, from start to end. I was initially doubting getting a blue LED, because I preferred a white LED. But I'm happy with my choice, the blue color matches the HVAC blue LEDs and it isn't overly bright or looks out of place in the cabin. Just looks perfect, and a very easy mod for all.

Thanks again, James.

Ok I'm all out right now, I'll be doing one more order, and then I think I'm calling it quits. FYI, for anyone who is looking for red, there's another thread where you can buy an aftermarket red for like 2 bucks. The OEM one is like 12 bucks.

PM me if you want something for this last order.

Thanks,
James

Can you order me a White LED when you place an order again? I like the red one I have but I think the white will match better with my car.
