Using AC power for Powered Subwoofer?

I purchased a Pioneer TS-WH500A powered subwoofer (150 Watts Max Power (50 Watts Nominal) and was wondering if it's safe to tap into the AC outlet in the center for power. I plan to run a cable up to the ACC line in the headunit so it's not always powered on.

Is this AC power wire enough to safely power this sub?

Check a Lotus wiring diagram for the amperage rating of the wire that you'd like to tap into and compare it to the amperage requirements of your powered sub to make sure the power source is compatible. Do the research yourself, otherwise you run the real risk of some self-proclaimed expert telling you that all is good...and it turns out not to be.

I installed a powered sub in my Exige in 2007 and posted details about it including the circuit that I used for power (based on the power needs of my sub):

See paragraph seven:
"For 12V power, I used an Add-A-Fuse to tap into fuse C5 (driving lights; under the dash) as it is sourced from the battery."
