200 mile drive with a broken recalled shifter! say some prayers...lol

Just about to drive this Elise to the dealers 200 miles away with vice grip shifter .. Wish me luck! If you don't ever see me post again..you will know why... Lotus won't tow the car even though its a recall ...

Looks kinda cool, lol. Reminds me of when my buddies car was stolen. They found the car and they took his steering wheel so he clamped two vice grips to steer on the way home. I'd highly recommend against that...

Just call the car a Rat Rod and think of this as art!

Update:Just got to hotel close to dealers in one piece!! Lol...just have to wake up and get this thing fixed. Took it to sports car specialists in Hopewell nj..

Be careful with them bro, not looking to dealer bash but my car has been there for weeks now do their shotty work.

This car is really jealous of the new stable mate. Maybe you should leave it at the dealer on consignment?

Make sure Ian works on your car.

It seems as if that dealer's reputation has gone down hill since Nicole is no longer there...

Also, test drive an Evora!!!!

Ian has been out for quite some time and all they will say is they have no idea when he is coming back....

Not done yet..only my luck..I get down here and they are shorted one small piece needed to wrap this shifter up.. They have to overnight it to us. Guy offered me a spare room next door at his house to stay over.. I told him better get me some beers too..

Have them do the oil lines since it's there.

Thanks bro... Long story short they installed my BOE surge tank and oil pan and less than 100 miles later the fuel lines blew and its also leaking oil. It was fine when they got it and now its a mess...
