Question Sacramento to San Louis Obispo -Help!

This looks less than fun/twisty... Straight shot down Five

This drive is far more fun! Highway one for the win...

This is messing up my plans!

SR 1

[IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AREA]
IS CLOSED 3.2 MI SOUTH OF GORDA (MONTEREY CO) - DUE TO A LAND SLIDE
- MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE

What are my options to save this trip/make it fun again? Does anyone have good ideas?

Joh

Try Highway 25 to 101, 46 to 1 and on into SLO. Not sure where 1 is closed but if you want to take a coastal route- Nacimiento Rd, is a fun drive that will get you to the coast.

On the way back you can take either 58 or 198 to catch 5, both very fun roads.

Where are you in NorCal?

Joh

Have a link in that thread, giving you a little more details on Highway25.
