411 on AMG GT

My girlfriend wants an MBZ AMG GT, it's an anachronistic 4000lb front engined beast that looks like the 300SLs that won the Carrara Panamerica 6 decades ago; however, it gets to 60 in 3 seconds and did well in this test on EVO beating the Lotus 430 Cup car.

Does anyone have any real word experience with ownership?

Have driven it on the road and at the track and it's a phenomenal car … it has amazing front end bite and overall balance. It certainly doesn't feel it's weight and acts almost like a mid engine given how far back the engine and driver actually sit. It's no Lotus when it comes to steering feel and overall agility … but for something that can comfortably cruise and then thrash at the track … it's a hard combination to beat. I'd certainly purchase one over a 911 which feels clinical in comparison to the more feral and raw AMG GT

Looked like they could have gone faster in the Exige.

Always thought of the AMG GT as a more refined Viper. The Lotus looked to be the most engaging and sounded sweet...

I would prefer a C63 Black Series, and with the money leftover, pick up a 997.1tt.

Sorry, I guess that's not what you asked for...

I'm kinda surprised nobody else mentioned it, but; It just looks so.... phallic.

This comes to mind (unfortunately the best quality I could find).

Drives a Prius (clearly knows nothing about cars).

You know, I wasn't going to say anything, but since you mentioned FG.

Also look up the SNL animated skit "The Ambiguously Gay Duo" . It looks a bit like their car. < NSFW warning!

I will say it looks a lot better in LMP trim
