Electric Lotus - SP:01

I'm surprised I haven't seen anything posted here about the Detroit Electric SP:01. Lotus chassis electric sports car, looks pretty epic.

Billed as the “world’s fastest production electric vehicle.”

Ah that's strange SP:01 didn't come up in search results. Found a recent news article about it being built in Holland now and still a go-ahead.

Just recently found a quote from 2013 about a $135K price-tag. Completely ridiculous price for the specs, will be dead on arrival.

Jay Leno did a piece on it toward the end of last Thursday's Jay Leno's Garage. No mention of Lotus or the fact it was based on the Elise however. I was disappointed that he didn't mentioned it. The episode will re-air tomorrow (2/2-2/3) after the new one if you want to catch it on CNBC. 12:00AM to 1:00AM ET or here:
