10 Year Anniversary.

I can't believe it has been 10 years. I never had a toy car for more than 3 years before the Exige. I guess I found the right one. The icing on the cake? Several guys here told me I wasn't a "Lotus guy" because I had some complaints about the car when I first drove it. I wonder if they still have theirs?

10 years, 14,000 miles,

2009

No pix yet this year, but this was late last year.

Congrats!

The funniest part is that I've also put 14,000 miles on the set of used shocks you sold me!

Anyways your car looks great.

Had my 05 3 years and put about 40k miles on the clock. Total miles are 111k right now. ; )

I have also had doubts because of lack of a/c and comfort but I could never let her go. Nothing drives like it, everything else feels numb.

I think those had like 6K on them. Easy miles too, this car has never seen a track day. You should get a LOT of miles out of those. But one day I'll convince you to get some Ohlins

Congrats! I just passed 12 years @ 20008 miles. I only regret driving it 5500 miles the first year. I wish my current mileage was about yours. lol

I'm coming up on 13 years on April 1st. 42k miles and I still enjoy every time I drive the car.

If I die, my biggest fear is that my wife sells all my toys for the price I told her I bought them for...

Congratulations! I bought my 05 Elise in 05. Replaced it with an 06 when it had 85K miles. 06 is now up to 65K miles. Trips from Houston to St. Louis, Aspen, Dallas, South Texas, and multiple trips to the Texas Hill Country have put on quite a few miles. I've enjoyed every mile. You guys need to drive more.

Awesome! You have developed one of the best customizations ever done with an Elise.

We arrived here just over a dozen years ago. Car has about 22,000, a good bit of that on track as fast and hard as we could go. Great life experience.

When I think back at the best successes of my life, this little car comes up quickly.

12 years for me in February. Bought when car was 2 1/2 years old and had 2k miles. Original owner thought it was too tame and replaced it with an Ariel Atom. Build date for my car was July 2004, so it will be 15 years old this summer.

I'm a newbie, I'm only at 5 1/2 years and less than 10K of miles but this is now the longest I've ever kept a car. I still have no plans to sell it but I am starting to get a bit bored.

Problem with getting rid of the Lotus is that there is nothing within 3 times what this car is worth that can replace it. I even love the fact that my registration is $200 and a new set of race rubber (Or best street rubber) is around $500.

I regret selling my last low production rare-ish car, my 1999 BMW Mcoupe. its still not worth anything but there is something about seeing a rare sports car that is so hard core that there are no poseurs.

Its hard to believe its been 15 yrs. It is nice not paying city taxes on the car here since it is over 12 yrs old. Even though the yearly taxes were probably the "least costly mod".

Cool. I hadn't looked at it that way. I'm merely 34 years with 3 Lotus cars: Restored a '72 Elan Sprint; drove a 7 for some years; Elise.

Great that I still love the Elise. Last week walked to car in parking lot and again realized how much I like its looks (too).

Edit: 100k on Elan; 15k on 7; 89k Elise.

05 elise (BOE Rev300 supercharged, SSRs, shift tower mods, Multivex; HID hi/low beams); 05 Corolla XRS. Past '72 Elan Sprint (I restored), Lotus 7 w/X-flow, TT Supra, Bugeye Sprite, BMW 2002 & 2002tii, '65 GTO.

Bought mine in October, 2007 and drove it to Sandpoint, Idaho that weekend. Quite coincidentally, I drove it to Sandpoint on the same weekend in October, 2017.
