Found exige but need help *spidercracks and damages?
It looks like there are 2 exige for sale locally.
I checked one of the car and this one apparently had minor parking lot accident. Owner told me insurance didn't total the car but had it repaired. Surprisingly still clean carfax but you never know when this will pop up in carfax.
And upon examining the car, there are some cracks and some spider cracks coming from the hood. It looks like it was just repair to the original clam instead of replacement and now these are showing some cracks.
Second issue was that rear bumper also had bump in and bumper is bit cracked. There is also another crack somewhere.
Overall body wasn't fantastic condition but not seeing many lotus' in person I don't know if "all" lotus are to have these cracks.
There is another with similar problem to the rear bumper *huge spider crack
So I was wondering how much these damages will diminish its value vs excellent condition cars. Currently both cars are listed around 07 is listed as $45k with 56k miles and 06 is $48k with 35k miles but something tells me considering these damages they are bit highly priced.
I don't really mind the damages but I usually don't keep my cars for more than 3 years. If this type of damage is normal in lotus then I wouldn't think much about paying fair price but if there are clean examples for similar price then I would probably wait for one.
What do you guy think?
Spidercrack normal thing for lotus? or are there more clean examples out there?
should I pass the deal and wait for better one or try ask owner to lower the prices on these cars?
