RUST ISSUES

Is this common on the Exige? Should I be worried?
Looking to buy a Exige. Flew out to test drive and look over the car. Drove fine and in Great shape other than the rust shown on the back tube frames. Few bolts were rusty as well.
Any cause for alarm?

Yeah common to collect water in there. I drilled a hole in mine one day when I had it apart so it has a drain now. Where has the car lived and how do the uprights and lower control arms look? Those areas can rust as well if the car is driven in 4 seasons. That said worst case scenario if you had to replace every rusty piece on the car is just a few thousand dollars.

Seems to be surface rust at this point. Wire brush might remove it.
