Race Day Sabotaged by Shift cable

Well it finally happened - the Elise let me down on race day. Broken shift cable left me on course with no locomotion! Had to be pushed back in by 5 guys. At least my MacGyver repair got me home on my own power. Didn't trust the zip ties enough to go back out.

Note to self: Replace the zip ties in my race toolbox!!

@///MD At least you had zip ties!

This was me 5 years ago after mine sheared apart on the highway (under normal shifting no less). I limped home stuck in 3rd.

Dude! wow. What did you replace with?

I finally got my upgraded cable from SSC and installed it. What a PITA!!! there is absolutely no room in the center frame. Was able to get it done in time for my event last weekend. Whew.
