Climate Control on 99-04 Esprit

Here's a dumb questions:

In order to get heat, where should the climate control vent position knob set at?

Also, is the "floor" setting only available to the driver and not the passenger?

From memory, one notch back from all the way clockwise. Close vents in dash.

In more detail,

The face-level vents will not provide heat...only fresh (or cooled) air.

To add heat to air conditioning (for example, to de-mist on a humid, muggy day), set the heater knob to INTERIOR and turn the A/C on. The face level vents should be turned off.

PS if you flip the roof panel open, NO AIR will travel through the HVAC system. It comes IN the door vents and OUT through the roof.

The other Best Practice of Esprit climate control: Open or Shut the side windows to taste. You'll get the hang of it....

If one side of the cabin is getting heat and not the other, suspect a loose/disconnected "dryer hose" under the dash.
