Current steering wheel options for airbag SW replacement

I know this topic has been addressed repeatedly in the past, but I'm looking for current options. A couple of people have offered adapters in the past to use the Raid and Elise steering wheels, but those read like one time offers from forum members.

Are there any currently available options for replacement with either an airbag or non-airbag wheel? Is the Momo hub adapter still available?

I used a nardi-to-momo adapter - many of them on e-bay. I went the 'quick-disconnect' route as well - then you have your choice of 1000000x mono style wheels.

couple of pics..

this looks like the one I used - > http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-Univer...item3f124e2dc8

IIRC the SEs did not have an airbag wheel. Does this option work on the later airbag cars as well?

Thanks!

More accurately, the '89.5s did not have an airbag wheel. From '90-on, all US Esprits have the same airbag wheel. You will either need a custom adapter like the one Jim offers, or you can search for an Isuzu adapter. The Momo Isuzu adapter appears to be discontinued, so some folks have used a Isuzu-->Grant column adapter with a Grant-->Momo wheel adapter.
Gallagher likes this.

Sanj's Esprit Turbo SE pages are missing -- PM me if you need ALDL cables, Tech-1's or memcal services.

correct - my 89.5 SE did not have an airbag - and through it does have the electrical connection pass-through - (see the link) - it is really meant for a center wheel horn button

Hi Jim

Do you still have the RAID Steering wheel adapter for Esprit ? I need to fit an airbag SW to replace the OEM and wonder if you know where I could source one?

Many thanks

David

This is an old post, but I am looking for an adapter for a Raid wheel for a 1994 Lotus Esprit S4.
