My S4 lower valence is indeed warped. Also lots of missing paint has cracked off. Both corners at the wheel wells stick out, the lower lip in the front is bent up. I am in the process of removing it, and seeing what I can do with a heat gun, and then have it refinished. Or replace it in total with a new one from SJ Sportscars, they have one for about $275.
Part of the paint problem is perhaps rocks, but most of the problems I believe are caused by:
(1) paint did not have the additive needed to give it some flex, being on an abs type of material, it is a very hard, brittle type of paint.
(2) flexing of the valence by frequent bottoming of the front splitter. Or even just catching a parking pier/block.
(3) the po may have put really tall tires on the back with chains, and used the splitter for snow removal.....
I wonder if with the S4, they went to a more flexible, or thinner material for the lower valence?
