Raid Steering wheel upgrade

Hey guys, I know that we have visited this many times over the years, but my recently purchased 99 V8 has the stock GM steering wheel. It is in good condition, but it is way too big. It is a tight squeeze for me to get in. I don't necessarily need the airbag wheel, but if anyone knows where to find one or how to retrofit a smaller wheel without too much modification, I would appreciate the tips!

I have one new Raid Daytona with silver trim, hub adapter and also I got the new type 3D Lotus emblem made with a raised gel finish for the airbag pad that looks really sharp. Previously emblems made of hard material attached to the airbag pad could possibly hurt you during airbag deployment. The 3D gel emblem looks much better than an decal or sticker which was the alternative.

It looks very OEM.

Black leather with silver trim last one is stock.
Black leather with Carbon Fiber trim (sold out)

PM me if interested

How much? Depending on price I might be interested and I would then sell my Elise wheel with airbag

Sorry Kenny,
Art was quicker on the keyboard and PM'd right away. Unless he gives up his dibs on the wheel, I got to do the fair thing.

Here is the look of the new center emblem just sitting on my laptop. It is just stunning and has the high polished look in pliable gel. While not made of enamel and metal the appearance is as good as the nose badge. The black of air bag pad makes the emblem just pop.

Or you can go with the most economical way like the one on this link below:

Grant model 4509 hub adapter

Total cost approx. $40-50 shipping incl
GRANT 4509 steering hub adapter kit used for ISUZU RODEO

PROS: You are open to unlimited Sport Steering Wheels options
Economical and involves very minor modification (see link above)

CONS: You lose your safety AIRBAG option.

In my case I have four different Sports Steering Wheel that I can use and change any time I want to.
Good Luck and Enjoy your new TOY!

Do you have a picture of it on the wheel?

I just love my Raid steering wheel, it really updates the cabin although I did keep the original one in case the next owner (if there is one) wants it for originality.

I bought my Raid wheel from Maxvelocity and it's perfect. The only thing I don't like about the steering wheel is that it's difficult to find the horn button. Down here in Palm Beach, you need to use the horn daily due to all the greyhairs who can't see over the steering wheel.

2004 Esprit FE #018. 4th to last built.

I have the exact same wheel, wish I had the same interior though...

Have to agree on that point, it's the only negative thing about this steering wheel.

AGREED! The updated 2001 (?) interior! Wish was a kit to swap to pre ones!

I have the Elise wheel which I love except it blocks the view of the gauges a bit due to being smaller than OEM...

I'd buy the one for sale in this post if only funds not already tied up this week with it in shop for new right rear wheel bearing (weird, never hit anything) and AC fix (still unknown solution) and then last night one of the springs on the garage door broke so there goes another $400ish! SHEESH!

I know it does not help you guys but. The last wheel I have for sale is equipped with the easy to find and press surface mounted horn button with raised tactile bumps to aid in positive left/right horn location. Raid/Atiwe addressed concerns from customer feedback and later offered this option.
