Wiring diagram for V8 horns

Hi all, can anyone shoot me the wiring diagram for the horns on a V8. I am trying to sort out a fault with the horns sounding only intermittently. Checked the fuse and relay but they are OK. Relay not clicking when horn button depressed. Steering wheel is the Elise one with Bobís adaptor so assuming that it is not faulty buttons as on the GM wheel. Thanks!

Here ya go, good luck.

Issue with the 'clockspring' (rotary connector) in the steering wheel?

Fantastic, huge thanks, Atwell. You da man. I take this opportunity also to say I am planning to take the wing off of my car. :thumbsup

Yeah it could well be the clockspring. Hoping not, of course.

I've assisted glb in replacing the CS on his Elise. Wasn't too difficult aside from futzing with the orientation...

Otherwise it's the usual: poor connections under the steering column? Look closely at individual wire connections..

PS: Removal of an Esprit wing is never a condition of my assistance, LOL!

Well, turns out it is the clockspring, damn it all. It that part the same regardless of whether one is using an Elise steering wheel? If so what is the quickest way to get a replacement? JAE?

I'm not sure that JAE has Elise parts, but it wouldn't hurt to call and inquire. They could surely suggest somewhere to get one. I think glb got his clock spring from a dealer.

You could also post in the Electrical section here. Electrical - LotusTalk - The Lotus Cars Community

i believe you're going to need the Esprit rotary connector, not the Elise one...
