Copious - Upper end Oil Leak

Good afternoon!

My 69 FHC has what feels like a greater than average oil leak that SEEMS to be emanating from the upper end of the engine. It's not a regular leak at regular quantities... sometimes it leaves drops, others a decent splash. I'm GUESSING it's coming from the hose connecting the head and the block. Does this sound crazy or plausible?

Thanks in advance!

Aaron

Breather Hose leak

The hose connecting the head and block together is a common leak point. It can be replaced without removing the head but is a little difficult. removing carbs certainly helps. Rotate the tube after it is place to seat. Silicone sealer is a must.

Agree that's a common problem. It's tough putting in a new hose with the cylinder head in place and keeping the RTV where you want it. Clean up both holes really well so the RTV can work!
