Servo brakes on 1971 Elan

After standing in my garage for 10 years I decided to get my 1971 Elan back on the road. After draining the fuel tank and cleaning out the carbs the thing started! I took it for a quick run around the block but noticed the brakes were sticking on for a few seconds then released. I jacked the front end up and rotated the wheels while the better half sat in the car and pushed the brake pedal, first without the car running then with the car running. The brakes released fine front and rear so I took it out again but the brakes still didn't release straight away. Can the servo give this action I put a new servo on the car before I stood it up. Any ideas?

Pretty well-known issue with servos. Either remove, rebuild or replace.
