My god, the interior on that red 400 GT is making my pants tight.

Shame we can't get the 430 front end on this car....

Thinking of K-swapping? Here's an idea of the cost involved.

If Lotus are reading this, I would buy the GT if it had the 430 front end!

I'm guessing they didn't want to go through the expense of crash testing the new bumper? I would've assumed the underlying structure didn't change (mount points, crash structure) but maybe the fed just has really strict rules regarding ANY type of change when it comes to crash testing...

Any lotus driver calling any other car as cheaply made is smoking crack. No offense, my first Evora was the biggest pile of **** in any car by any standards. American car companies cop a lot of criticism that's unwarranted.[/QUOT

No offense but If you dislike so much Lotus cars and drivers what are you doing here in this forum. Perhaps the Corvette forum is where you need to go.
I love my Evora, it's my second one. I'm just not a euro snob and definitely not a hypocrite. I appreciate all cars, and balanced in criticizing american cars, having owned nearly every major brand over the years.

Class is the sort of thing such that if it has to be explained to someone, they can never understand it anyway.

Would have one in the garage right now instead of the LC 500 were it not for that unfortunate front end

Maybe so. What I do understand is guys who post the long list of cars they have owned in their signatures don't have any of it.

Many if not all of us on a Lotus forum have multiple cars and have owned multiple cars. Not all of us feel the need to post it in our signatures. Says something about class doesn't it?

What are you talking about. If we can't openly talk about cars and share what we've owned on a effing car forum then what's the point? Doesn't it defeat the purpose?

There is some credence to what you say. Iím on McLaren Life most days and the cars they list sometimes are hard for someone of my means to accept. Are they bragging because they change $350,000 cars every few months? I dunno, but I do read their opinions. Theyíve had experiences I have not.

I donít list every car we have or have had, but the ones that I see as relevant to the discussions I engage in. Of course the Lotus and the tow vehicles

I still donít think that word means what you think it means. But you own a Lotus, so you get some slack.

2017 Lotus Evora 400 (6-speed) Yellow on Black

2014 Lotus Evora S 2+2 (6-speed) Verde Ithaca paint with Ebony Black/Red piping interior {Sold}

Rareness is a component to the Lotus appeal, no doubt. But if you canít see the difference between the Lotus design ethos and that of Ford or Chevrolet, then Iím not sure why you would want to own a Lotus. Especially given your disdain for the build quality.

Edit: I realize a lot of Evora owners may also own American muscle. No criticism of thatóhorses for courses and all that. I just canít see myself owning one. Itís the reason I canít post in the thread about what car youíd own after the Evora. I donít know. There just arenít a lot of options for cars that perform the way the Evora does with the same panache and class in the same price range.
Well said, I agree 100%. There are other cars I will add to the collection but I don't think I will ever sell the Evora... I have owned 911's, NSX, etc. and nothing feels like the Evora, the suspension, that steering feel, and 6 speed transmission, a true modern drivers car with class and rareness.

So let's recap. Lotus owners call Corvettes cheaply made. One Lotus owner says we need to be honest with ourselves and give credit where credit is due. That Lotus owner is deemed to have no class.

I didn't originally think this forum was a bunch of fanbois talking amongst themselves but hey, that's cool.

Back to regular programming.

And where does wholly hijacking a thread fall on your 'class' spectrum?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a few more cars to add to my list.

I’m genuinely sorry—I wasn’t implying you have no class. I see how what I wrote could be misinterpreted. I was only disagreeing with your suggestion that people listing their cars on a car forum is classless. I don’t think it’s classless at all. Context is everything. Constantly telling everybody you’re a vegan without being asked is kind of classless. Discussing your veganism on a vegan forum seems plenty fine to me.
