The kids will get used to it quickly. I used to live next to a train track. It was literally less than a hundred feet away. Once you hear a train going by numerous times, it's just a normal sound that you'll sleep right through. The Lotus will be a very quiet train.

This is analogous to a "resort fee" at a hotel.

Not sure if its because of the CUP tire size availability or because of increased wheel well space.
I was very certain that the GT back wheels are 10.5"

Lotus website does say 9.5. according to Seloc, looks like 9.5 is standard wheel for S 400, 410 and 430, but there is an optional 10" wheel for the 410, 430 and 430 sport. Maybe not offered on the GT?

I just pulled up the Lotus USA site again to make sure I correctly reported what I saw and the rears are indeed listed at 9.5". Maybe one of the new owners can confirm.

There was no 10.5" option when I ordered my 410 in the spring of 2017.

The GRP decat pipe is a GREAT buy. I installed it on my 400 3 weeks ago. Goodness, Now sounds like the European spec Evora 400. Fantastic!

Seloc says 10 not 10.5, but maybe the 10s were Europe/non-US only?

Only the 410 is offered outside the US now in terms of the Evora model range, whereas in the US it's the 400 and the GT. Strange.

It's a great evolution model but I'll be darned if I get another Evora that's not a roadster.

Euro Sport 410, GT410, US Sport 410 came with 9.5 inch width only, while the GT430 Sport came std with 9.5" but had an option for the 10.5"; Euro GT430 was 10.5 inch width; regardless of US website I bet the GT has 10.5" wheels as it has the 295 rubber and feeder lip extensor (the Lotus web site still has a number of errors in its spec). SELOC needs to check their info as the parts catalog does not even have a 10 inch wheel. I believe someone misread the designation which referred to 10 spoke.

400's are discontinued, the US lists its spec's as some are still on dealer lots. An order today would be for the GT which offers body options from a 400 wing tailgate to the 410+ CF ducktail tailgate in the $10k CF package.

Oh believe me, I can’t wait to get that thing on there. I haven’t been able to look and see as the car is still at the dealership awaiting “U.S. registration paperwork” to be completed but I’ll be picking it up in the next two weeks and then I’ll pull the rear tray to see. I’m sure that it will have the third cat on it.

If anyone knows definitively then please feel free to chime in.

Totally agree. Kids will remember you as the Cool Dad. Not do worry, just live life to the fullest. You have an awesome car, do you really think they expect it to sound like a Prius? Be real and live life to the fullest!!!!

We are probably living in the last days of human-driven internal combustion automobiles. In another generation or two, people will be transported by AI controlled, algorithmically governed electric "cars"; they won't be able to read maps, spell, do math, turn on appliances, remember phone numbers or facts, or perform meaningful work - so enjoy the noise, the vibrations, the steering feedback, and the precise directional changes that are still under your own volition while you can.

Same. The R8 was my first exotic car, and the response from strangers is the same (R8 and Evora 400)...nice car, how much did that run you?

Not even apologetic (do you mind if I ask...). Just in your face, whatd that run ya?

Crazy.
