My 1st sports car was a Toyota Celica Conv GT...had for many years garage queen...then I bought a Chrystler Crossfire Conv....had 3 years then bought a newer Porsche Boxster...had that for 3 years traded before the warranty ran out and got my Lotus Evora ..reason I chose Evora is for the money I couldn't find anything else in that 50k - 55k range that looked like a supercar.....

As far as anything else that I would upgrade to next ..i like the BMW i8 but not happy with fact it's a 3 banger electric thing with fake sound exhaust but it sure looks nice ..thier buyable now for used one 60k ...lots of depreciation...jaquar f type but again the lotus is hotter...maybe a Ferrari calf in couple years when they come down little more in price but really isn't anything else out there in that range that looks as exotic as evora...i love the attention i get with evora ..but the new corvette C8 mid engine looks pretty exciting for 60k...

Ha ha ha, here is my list

Fiat Uno 1.0, Fiat Uno 1.5, Mazda MX3, Fiat Coupe 2.0 turbo, Mini Cooper S compressor, Mini Cooper S turbo.
Now driving a Mini Cooper (daily driver) and a 2011 Evora S (fun car).

Since I was a kid I wanted to have a Lotus Esprit, when I got the money an Evora was a better choice.
Next fun car probably an Evora 400

2011 Lotus Evora S Storm Titanium

1st car was 64.5 mustang I bought from my folks when they were going to scrap it (still have it). Bought an 89 Probe GT when I decided to restore the mustang. Tranny died on the probe while I was in college, so I bought a s**tbox focus, because it was all I could afford at the time. Decided then that my next car would be a lotus, but caught the motorcycle bug and bought a honda CBR, then a triumph daytona 675R, then a BMW S1000RR. Sold the focus and bought my evora. Fun fact, my insurance on the lotus is only $100 a year more than the focus!

Considering a few cars for the next vehicle. Evora 400, R8, GTR, new vette, all available around 70-80K. Love the styling of the evora, and 400 HP is where they should be. The R8 has subdued style, but good performance. The GTR has amazing performance, but horrible style, and no manual transmission. The new vette is ridiculous performance value, has amazing styling for a chevy, but no manual option and the inevitable "1st production model" bugs are a turn off.

I'll try to keep my short car history short.

In high school, the first car I bought was a used '99 Mercury Cougar (the bubbly one with a V6 and front wheel drive). That thing was a tank, but I loved it having only two doors. When I wore the car out, looked for other 2 door cars which were getting few and far between. I ended up buying a used '09 Mitsubishi Eclipse (base line gutless GE). The Eclipse was so much lighter that even though it only had a 4 cylinder engine, it felt faster than the heavy Cougar. That was my daily driver for the next few years.

My first new car was my MY13 Lotus Evora and I had it as my secondary car to the Eclipse. This was the case for three years. When I realized I couldn't haul people or stuff in either car, I traded in my Eclipse for a brand new '16 BMW 328xi, just so I could haul people and have a bit more storage in the car, yet still be kind of sporty. This is still my setup with the 328xi as the daily and the Evora as the weekend warrior.

For what's next, I've been intrigued by the McLaren 570S. I really like the look of the 570GT for the sake of the back window, but I'm not sure that alone is worth the premium that those command. Since it will be a long while until I add to my stable, perhaps I wait for a used 720S and get all of the added features that car has over the 570S.

This new Corvette C8 is interesting, but not enticing enough to give it any serious thought. I'm glad for the switch up and it makes mid-engine a lot more attainable for the average person, but I've always liked to stand out just a bit, where as everyone and their brother is going to buy a Corvette. I've never been extremely brand loyal (since I have a history of Mercury (Ford), Mitsubishi, BMW and Lotus), but what I have found is I tend to easily get along with other owners of Lotus. I think we all have to be just a bit crazy to love this brand. My next car might not be a Lotus, but the Evora will always be in the garage, no matter what I buy next.

Here is a list of every car I've ever owned, starting in 1975:
1964 Mercedes 220 S
1974 Lotus Europa Special
1985 Pontiac Fiero V-6 w/ WS 9 Suspension
1995 Mustang GT Convertible
1988 Ferrari Mondial 3.2
2004 Mazda RX-8
2012 Lotus Evora S

Interesting (maybe) facts: every car had a manual trans, & I've never had to change the clutch in any vehicle I've owned.

Next car? Get rid of the Mazda & buy a daily beater. Prior to the Evora I considered an Aston Martin Vantage V 8 (manual, of course), which I may buy when I can't get in or out of the Evora anymore.

Started in 1971 so a longggggg list, but interesting stuff? Every Lotus from a 1968 Elan plus 2 up to current Evora S1, except no M100 elan or Excell and Eclat body shape, just never liked them. First new car was an MG Midget, a few hot hatches including MG metro turbo ( front wheel drive), MG TD (swept wings and seperate headlights) BMW Alpina and M sport cars, Jaguar XKR when I became old and sensible. Lots of normal everday saloons, waggons and commuter cars plus a jeep and land rovers for mud plugging fun at weekends. Probably like other petrolheads on here also motorbikes both on and off road. Grew up and lived at just the right time to go through older British classics and newer more reliable European and Japanese models. Still having fun with the Evora but old age and a sensible wife has stopped the motorbike riding. Next? It could be my first American car, that C8 with the engine in the right place looks interesting.

My first 'fast' car was my 2006 Audi A6 with the 4.2 V8.

First legit car was the 2014 Audi RS7, this car has lot of mods.
I bought one of the first gen2 NSX in the country, #37 off the line. NSX is also modified.
I bought the Evora 400 this year to add a manual that was rare enough that I would not see them everywhere. Totally fell in love with the car.

I am looking to replace the NSX in ~2020-2022 with a much faster mid-engine hybrid. Something like the new Alfa Romeo should be rare enough that I would be interested but I have not committed to anything yet.

My last couple cars were R8's, a V8 and V10 both supercharged. Now I have a Huracan that I also supercharged. Like nosirrahx above, I added the 400 for same reason. What to get next is proving to be very difficult, have thought about Mclaren but after test driving a 720s and 600LT Spyder crossed them off list. I feel have built the the Huracan to be near perfect (over $80K in mods) and nothing so far is measuring up to it

2018 Lotus Manual Evora 400
2015 Huracan VF800 Supercharged
2018 Audi SQ5

2012 R8 Manual V10 VF750 Supercharged
2009 R8 Manual V8 VF550 Supercharged

My history is not nearly as impressive as most, and I'll save everyone from all of the side projects, haha!

Started off with a bang with a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo Manual Coupe.

Next was a 1991 Acura Integra LS with a few mods for college duty.

Once I got my first job out of college I bought a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo Manual Targa. To date, this is the car I've owned the longest, I interior swapped it, '91 tail lights and moldings, 1JZ VVTi, stand alone, modded turbo, suspension, etc. It was a ton of fun.

Then I sold it and bought a 2015 Porsche Boxster S Manual.

Sold the Porsche to build a 1969 AMC Rambler wagon, coil overs, double wishbone suspension, triangulated 4-link 8.8" ford rear, LS1/T56 combo out of a 2000 Camaro. It was a serious canyon carver and would keep up with some bikes in the canyons (2800lbs 350~hp)

Sold that for a house and bought a 2016 Ducati Scrambler.

Almost died on the bike after moving to Texas, so I sold it and bought my first Lotus a 2010 Evora, I missed that car enough to buy another, haha!

Sold the house! (buying a house was the worst mistake of my life, it was truly terrible in every way.)

Traded in the Evora for a 2017 Audi R8, didn't like it, I didn't fit comfortably, and to me, it wasn't all they were cracked up to be.

Traded in the R8 for the current Evora 400, and I LOVE this car.

As for future cars, I'm not sure what I would get, I really enjoy all of the aspects of the E400.

12 others...

Bikes. Among those, have a track prepped 999R and had an MV Agusta 800 but it broke apart during a street ride... replaced that machine with the Lotus. Had a Challenger R/T previously.

The Lotus is good, sportbikes are always going to be more visceral, so this is more about fun and comfort. I'll likely replace my truck next, with an electric one. One of my friends works for Rivian as a designer, so if they make something mid-size I could see that happening. He has an Elise. As an aside, apparently one of the engineering leads for the Evora chassis is now there as well, with him.

I also has pretty boring vehicles before the Evora:

1984 ford ranger
1989 olds cutlass supreme international
1987 ford ranger
1990 GMC Sierra
1990 Pontiac turbo Grand Prix
1999 ford ranger
1999 F250
2011 lotus Evora

The F250 is still my daily and the Pontiac is in 1000 pieces slowly coming back together. Never owned an automatic(Pontiac is converted to manual). Next I want to buy an Elise and perhaps an Esprit after that, also interested to see what lotus comes out with in the next few years . Ive had thoughts of a lower end McLaren, but the lack of a manual is a turnoff
