I was waiting for all the hoopla to dwindle before I ordered mine, but I can see that's not going to happen anytime soon, and now he's on holiday. Oh well.

There are so few Lotus that nearly every one is unique.

With all these orders, it wouldn't surprise me if Lotus reports improved Q3 revenues!

My thoughts exactly.

Lotus may find that their Archive Department brought in the most revenue for the company in 2012!

Just noticed this thread. I had lunch with Andy last December and here's an actual photo of him in the archives:

What a great guy. Actually, everyone we met at Lotus was incredibly warm, except for Bahar who walked by us 8 times while filming for the Esprit S1 documentary project and never even said "Hi". Just glared at us like we were toxic. I was waiting on my MY12 Evora S at the time, special order in Burnt Orange, and Andy gave me an orange Matchbox Evora to give my son to hold over his enthusiasm. A really great guy. I also find it hilarious that he drives...a Bullitt Edition Mustang!

I've mostly been active on TLF (I'm on the Advisory Panel) since that's where most of my Lotus connections are and am only now getting in to LT to help build interest in the new NY/NJ/CT chapter of Lotus Ltd. since LT is mostly populated by Yanks (at Tri-State Loti -- it's definitely in development), so I'm *way* behind the curve here. I just haven't had time to monitor two forums, but the time has come to dive in here.

I did Burnt Orange as a special order and according to Andy it's the only MY12 BO Evora to date. I just created a garage at MoxieNYC's Garage :: The Oranguthang although I'm confused as to the difference between a garage and an album, which I also created but can't seem to access even though I added 8 images to the album. Also added an album for my project Esprit S1 at MoxieNYC's Garage :: Agent Orange

'Excellent end to the workday... my certificate was waiting on me! And, it arrived "unscathed." So perhaps this weekend, I'll be visiting a frame shop... Yep, those folks @ Lotus do GREAT work. Once again... "thank-you, Andy!"

I just talked to Andy again this morning as my Discover card would not run - I'm guessing they don't take it. Gave him a different CC and we are good to go - back to waiting anxiously!

If you have an iPhone, I recommend using the app ChatTime. I used it to call them and it worked well. I think the cost was around $0.10 per minute.

How long has it taken for the letter to arrive?

I have been out of state for a few weeks, just got back and I don't have anything. Andy sent me a message on the 10th saying it was being mailed.

Two comments:

1. The boxes on the left should be turned 90 degrees as a fire protection measure. A federal records facility had a fire when the files were positioned as shown. When the cardboard box burned it let folders fall out feeding the fire.

2. Having a letter of provenance from Lotus was very handy when the DMV questioned the registration of my Elan & Seven.

Showed up this week at some point I guess, forgot to the check the mail for a couple days. (my mailbox is near the highway around 1/2 a mile from my house)

Question....

3,321 Elises were made in 2005 per the paperwork. Now is that TOTAL or just what was sent to the US?
