4th out of 17 in Starlight Black
3rd of 7 in Starlight Balck with Black/Oyster trim
The only car in Starlight Black with Black/Oyster trim with exactly the same options: metallic paint/premiuim pack/back-up camera/tech pack/sport pack/sports ratio gearbox/silver forged alloy wheels

Thanks. Why they discontinued Burnt Orange and Chrome Orange for MY12 is beyond me.

Serious! WTF over? The only MY12 in BO or CO in the U.S.? Am I reading that right?

Plack are you saying 1 or 3 worldwide for MY12?

Correct. It's the only car in BO or CO in the US for MY12.

I love burnt orange.. I think it has more character than CO. But I can understand why so many COs exist.. It's eye candy. Lotus probably realize 80% of their cars out there today are some form of orange, so they just deleted those options to balance things out lol

I love the BO with cognac...wow...

There aren't many Orange cars overall..unsure of BO numbers, but there are 6 CO 2010 cars, 10 CO 2011 cars, and 1 orange anything 2012 in the US. Out of a production run of 700something right?

2016 AMG GT-S
2012 Caterham R400 (sold)
2010 Chrome Orange Evora (Sold )
2005 ST Elise (sold)
2002 MB G500 lifted etc.
2003 Cooper S (track)
we'll see what Lotus comes up with next...

Seriously, thank you! I got a lot of crap from people about not getting black with BO--from friends, family, dealer--particularly since I had to do BO as a special order, but much as I like black, I just can't deal with black car interiors during our disgusting New York City summers. Even my 330xi has a medium grey interior. Anyway, I like the sort of desert color scheme...reminds me of all the time I spent in AZ as a kid. And depending on the sun, Burnt Orange reads as anywhere from yellow to dark reddish orange. The dealer still has a whole bunch of interior and exterior photos of the car on their archive at http://www.autosportdesigns.com/sale...s.aspx?ID=2240 including with it's second set of stealth grey classic wheels, which we just put on again tonight for the long drive to/from Orlando for LOG since the 18"/19" wheels w/ P Corsas are much quieter on the highway than the 19"/20" P Zero Corsas, and more forgiving (if not quite as good handling) on bumpy roads (aka Sebring). Whatever...I guess I'm showing my age.

By the way, the racing stripes on your CO Evora look awesome! Since you're in Tampa will you be at LOG?

Dunno, but forget Chrome Orange...just picture this--Chrome RED! Yes, a chrome red car...now that would be revolutionary...an idea so revolutionary in fact that Lotus should pay me gobs of wonga for it, and perhaps throw a party downtown--particularly if I outsource the styling to Mansory but take a cut for myself.

I'm sorry. Is my sarcasm showing through?

So what's the consensus then? 19 orange Evoras in the U.S. between the MY10, 11, and 12 model years? Is that accurate? I'm wondering how many Evoras total are in the U.S. now? Anyone know?

No just got out here so the wife and I are still getting settled unfortunately, and I'm missing LOG. Would love to go but priorities right now...

I am a sucker for the Cognac interior-the Autumn Bronze/cognac and the nightfall blue/cognac are insane combos as well.

Although we kid about chrome red-in a non-literal sense that is pretty much chili red (gold metallic over ardent red) and I think that would actually look pretty good...
