Evora rev limited to 4,500

I drove my Evora for the first time in a while, and was surprised to see that I was rev limited at 4,500 in all gears. I drove it about 30 minutes, and it still was rev limited. I then stopped to get gas, and when I drove off, I was able to rev to the real limit immediately.

Anyone have any idea what was going on?

Wait a few seconds for the fuel pump to fully prime before cranking. Not doing so could lead to Misfires and Limp Home Mode.

Also, could be temp related if the ECU thinks it's still cold... faulty sensor?

Good point/suggestion @mattjk .

I have had this very thing happen with mine but wasn't due to priming. Just like you it wouldn't rev past 4.5k and the shift lights would all light and blink. It was an interment problem for me and would happen randomly over a course of a few days. I ended up taking it to my Lotus dealer who replaced the cam sensor under warranty. I would just keep an eye on it follow mattjk's suggestion.
