Evora Wing Mirror Design

As many of you may be aware we designed the TransForged Version 1 & 2 solutions for the Lotus Elise and Exige which proved to be an overwhelming success and continue to sell globally.

Having been contacted by many Evora owners over the last few months we now have the bandwidth to turn our hands to the Evora.

The plan is to keep the power functionality in play.

Please post up styles that you feel would lend themselves well towards the Evora. For those that are not aware the current style utilizes old Jaguar X-Type mirrors.

Please try to keep this on-topic.

I like the look of the Vantage mirrors. And they're power fold too. Not sure what the field of view would be like though.

It would be great if the mirrors could integrate an auto fold module inside of them and be plug & play, with the exception of the door lock trigger wire (easily tapped in the driver's door harness). I'm assuming the goal is to reuse the existing mirror controls?

Yes, this solution will retain the factory mirror controls. Design work has commenced.

These options look great. Although I would like to see a render on a normal Evora, instead of a GTE.

We haven't factored in a glass yet, that will come into play once the shell and mount have been prototyped. The product will be a direct bolt-on, I don't anticipate any modifications to the body.

It will retain only the U/D/L/R features.

Here is a final render for which I plan to have a mold completed by Friday.

Yes cool, but those are just cameras and not road legal in the US right now. a camera integration may be planned into our solution but that's further down the road.

Agreed, if the wiring capabilities are there for the regular Evora then yes.

From research the 400 and 410's are utilizing Proton mirrors with indicators.

The only power options will be the U/D and L/R, folding will just increase the price substantially and increase the complexity..

Not sure why you would need folding mirrors on an Evora. Looks cool but they way they are already tucked in, the function is not needed. Even on my wife's Mercedes they seem like just a gimmick. Big ole Ford truck on the other hand I would understand.
