Reservoir Hatch will not latch

I just put my car's front end back together and could not find any links or posts on when the Reservoir Hatch doesn't seem to latch. It appears to go into the area that swings and latches but won't go down. The latch works fine, it will close and release manually.
There doesn't appear to be anything in the way of the latch and hatch.

Ideas.

It sounds weird, but make sure the latch is fully open prior to closing. This happened to me, and I noticed the latch wasn't 100% open and I used my finger to click it open fully. Then it closed like normal.

good suggestion. I went out and checked and it was fully open.
I was able to shut it, but had to push slightly the hatch cover to the right and it latched.
So I think the latch need to be loosened up and pushed more left maybe.

Thanx!

I had issues with my hatch too. I adjusted the rubber stops and it’s been fine since.
