Ordered new Michelin Pilot Super Sports for mine today. Had to go up to 285/30-20's on the rear as the 275s are on nationwide backorder for a month. Should be fine and look decent too. Hope they grip nearly as well as the Corsa's

Get winter tires and enjoy her throughout the cold season. Will swap tires late October / early November.

Drove mine today both Autobahn (following a golf buddy is his GT-R, quite a show) and on some more backcountry B roads. So much fun and so practical, golfbags in the trunk, then put in wife and go for a run, later took car for a drive to dinner. Tomorrow the Evora will take me to work and back, probably the best 40 minutes of that day

Took it to The Ridge Motorsports Park for a track day with the BMW club. It tried its best Ferrari imitation by smoking out the rear vents when I got off the track.

I was a little scared the thing was on fire or going to catch on fire. I determined it was power steering fluid leaking down on the engine tray and back up the rear diffuser. Ended up taking the rear diffuser off (thanks to the DIY muffler post) and cleaning off all the fluid I could get too. There was a lot of fluid on and around the fluid reservoir. I'm not sure if it's an actual leak or not, jury is still out, but the rack was just replaced and they bled and filled the fluid three times trying to diagnose an issue with the new rack.

After all the cleaning and re-assembly it had just a little bit of smoke on the following session with some new fluid on the diffuser. Drove it back home and no smoke after the long slog on the freeway. I'll check it in the morning after things have cooled off.

Overall a fun day with a little more excitement than I wanted.

I painted the engine cover's black grill. I used Dupli-Color's Engine Enamel. Color is Cast Coat Aluminum. Looks great and contrasts nicely with the remaining black, silver and chrome colors on the cover, especially through the tinted glass.

a bit late as this was earlier, but redid all my wiring with knukonceptz twisted/shielded, installed a new amp, installed Hybrid Audio Clarus components, swapped amps and added about 4 pounds total to each door in speaker weight and sound deadening (RAAMmat and ensolite strategically placed).

Drivers are still breaking in, but sounds like a concert hall. Much much better, blends with my sub stage seamlessly, and sounds amazing. That being said it was about 14 hours of work, and I had already done a HU install, amp install so I had the power wiring run and plenty of familiarity with the interior of this car. I am also pretty savvy with car audio..wouldn't recommend this to someone who didn't know what they are doing. I would guess if you combined my previous work and this, not including the fabrication for the sub, it would be about a 20-25 hour install for a full stereo and some sound deadening of the doors in this car.

That's really early - I store mine November 30th and bring it out by mid-March, unless there's still lots of snow on the ground.

Installed some new side mirrors which remove much of the blind spot found with the OEM mirrors. They have a curvature which takes a bit of getting used to, however it certainly helps to see what's in my 4:00 & 8:00. They also have a coating which reduces glare (dichroic).

Driver side:

Passenger side:

They are mounted on top of the OEM mirror using a line of silicone. The double-sided adhesive pads that came with them just didn't have enough contact area (due to the curvature) so I opted for silicone. Seems to be very secure and fit well.

I purchased from Thomas (Thomasio) ([email protected]) whom I believe has sold these for Elise & Exige for some time.

A fine use for an old "For Sale" sign. I've not yet been on the freeway. The teeth may chatter?

Although it's not common, we can have substantial amounts of snow on the ground by late October. Last year, I kept my Evora out until mid-November, at which time it was too cold to wash it, and it went to bed dirty. This year, it (and the Z) was all nice and clean when it began its long winter sleep, and the Boxster is staying out and not getting detailed before storage. I can't wait to wash 3 cars when it's 20 degrees out and the hose is frozen. Unfortunately, it will be early May before all my snow is gone.

Took a 20 something belly dancer for a ride up to Hot Springs and a couple private hours in a mineral tub up in the mountains.

She said it was nice to ride with a sober person who knew how to drive mountain roads

You can imagine (most of) the rest.

Quacked RR Wheel arch on side of garage door trim. I like to part real close to build a buffer on the driver side for my daughter and her toys going in and out between the cars. I was rushing and not in perfect alignment .. while it scuffed up the starsheild bad, I think that is the extent of damage, fortunately the wood is soft cedar.
