wheel center caps

might have been posted before.

I lost one at a track day so had to get a new one. I was surprised that it's constructed differently. Seemed to hold much better than the old. Two of the three old ones pulled out easily with a suction cup from an old radar detector mount.

I learnded my lesson as well long time ago when I lost one on track. They don't like the heat. I pull them off for track days ever since. Also, when reinstalling them I need to try them on different wheels since not all of them fit snug on all the wheels. There is a big variation, and some caps on some wheels almost fall off just from gravity. So I have to shuffle them around to find the best combination of wheels and caps. It's good to know that Lotus improved the design.

Where did you order them from, and what was the cost?
I just purchased 2 from an LT member and they fell off never to be seen again within a couple of days😥
They were the old design.

Never leave ANY center caps on at the track. Evoras generate MUCH more heat to wheels than an Elise BTW. Yes, all new center caps are now properly designed unlike the plastic junk we originally got.

I ordered these but haven't gotten them yet. Hope they fit since it appears they are smaller than the ones above,

It probably depends on the wheels you have. My caps were 60mm on forged wheels. The original seller in China I bought them from does not seem to have them but another one has the same caps I bought. Also the caps in your link seem to be of the old design. The new ones fit very tight. Less than $10 for 4.

About a month ago I got the $8 for 4 centercap deal from Aliexpress
They really appeared to be of better quality than the $35 per cap LotusOEM parts. Would definitely recommend them.

I found a great set on AliExpress but their checkout process looks sketchy as f---. Still searching for a set... not trying to shell out $200 to the dealer (since the remaining 2 won't match the new 2) but not trying to get scammed either!

They are SUPER fast with order prep and shipping. Coming from the UK, my entire order shipped for $20 and is scheduled to be here this Monday! Will definitely be a returning customer.
